I was recently talking with a respected colleague, and I mentioned that I was writing a new column for The Commercial Appeal. "What is it called?" he asked. "Fabulous and Frugal," I responded. He laughed. It was a kind, good-natured laugh, and he added, "You? Fabulous? Yes. Frugal? I'm not so sure about that."
He doesn't know me well. If the column title were to refer to me personally, I would think the "fabulous" part is more of a stretch than "frugal." But to me, Fabulous
